Ostroh
Cultural monument
Seeberg Castle, situated on a high rock buttress above a creek (hence the name), was probably founded as early as 1200 as the seat of ministeriales subject to the imperial palatinate in Cheb. Today, the castle palace houses an exhibit dedicated to the various styles of its 19th century interior, ranging from the Empire style to the Chippendale style of the first quarter of the 20th century. An open-air exhibit of folk architecture, with a display of rural life in Northwest Bohemia, is installed in the outer ward.
