Sokolov Castle

Cultural monument

The castle was built in the 15th century at the site of the original fortress of the Schlick family. After the Battle of White Mountain, the the castle was acquired by the Nostitz family and rebuilt in the Late Renaissance style in the 17th century. Today, the castle houses the town library and the Karlovy Vary Regional Museum with its permanent exhibits and displays.
